West Coast Tour Complete!

My goodness western Canada is beautiful! We just returned home from a two-week tour through British Columbia and Alberta, stopping off in Revelstoke, Kamloops, Chilliwack, Nanaimo, Chemainus, Port Alberni, Victoria, Powell River, Earls Cove, Calgary, and Didsbury. It was a whirlwind trip of western Canada and we put a whole lot of KMs on the new tour vehicle. While on tour we were hosted by some of the kindest, most generous people we know, and had the opportunity to meet plenty of lovely folks at various festivals, music series, and house concerts. THANK YOU for making this tour a great success as well as an enjoyable experience. We had no idea how sleeping in a 1984 Dodge Ram camper van would be for the three of us - turns out it was a great deal of fun for the most part (there were a few sleepless nights).

We also wanted to highlight the gracious support of the SOCAN Foundation for helping cover some of the expenses we faced on this tour. It ain't cheap touring Canada, and once you factor in ferries, it's just downright expensive! Thank you SOCAN Foundation for helping us pursue our dreams!

In other cool news, while on tour we found out that our song 'My Way' (co-written with Kyle McVea and performed by Kendra Kay) was nominated for 'Single of the Year' at the Manitoba Country Music Awards! It's a great feeling to get this kind of industry recognition for our song writing efforts and we wish Kendra great success with her recent nomination. On the topic of song writing... we will be unveiling an exciting new song writing initiative in the coming month(s), and we hope that you'll stay tuned to hear more about this exciting announcement.
